This Mexican ceramic charola (tray) is handmade and features a hand-painted still nature scene. It was created at the Guerrero Santos workshop.

Jesus Guerrero Santos is a Master Artisan from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico whose art is a combination of hand-painted, high-temperature ceramic, and metal. He was born in San Martin Hidalgo, Jalisco on February 14th, 1939. His work has been featured all over the world in museums and galleries. Many of his pieces have been commissioned by the Vatican, including pieces made especially for Pope John Paul II during his visit to Mexico for the canonization of St. Juan Diego. For the last three decades, Guerrero has been devoted to researching glazed ceramics from the 16th century to the present day. In his artisan making, he prints his personal style on each of his pieces, while preserving this ancestral Mexican heritage.
