This is a beautiful decorative plate with a Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) sgraffito design made by Javier Martinez from Mata Ortiz. Javier Martinez is well known for his intricate sketches with Day of the Dead themes. The plate features the Mata Ortiz train station and the mountains surrounding the town under the moon. An owl flies across the night sky as the dead celebrate cheerfully.
